Whether you go to your local garden center or home-improvement store, you will find that although there is a wide range of containers ready to buy, the truly inspiring ideas often come with hefty price tags. However, there is no reason why you cannot create your own personalized containers or use available containers in clever ways to fit into your garden design. From pottery to pallets, there are cheap and easy ways of making any size or shape of container as well as innovative, decorative ways to display pots.
Remember that in one container, all of the plants will be subject to the same conditions. I have created projects that will grow well together and can be adapted. Just make sure that if you plant more than one species together, they all require the same growing conditions.
