Dear Reader,
Thank you for purchasing a copy of Maui (Savage Raptors MC). I hope you enjoyed the story! If you have a moment, I’d appreciate it if you’d stop by Goodreads, BookBub, or the retailer of your choice to leave a rating or short review.
I’m sure Maui’s pet has left some of you with a few questions. First, yes, owning a pet skunk is legal in some parts of the United States and a few other countries. However it’s not legal in every US state. This story takes place in Oklahoma, where it’s permissible to have a pet skunk as long as you have a license and a vet willing to care for it.
Why did I give Maui a pet skunk? There’s a story behind that (one I’ll share at a later time). However, I will say that I first heard about pet skunks in 1991 when I lived in Georgia. Did you know they even have skunk shows? So crazy, right? And fun.
While Maui’s story does touch on darker topics, I tried to throw in some humor as well. There’s enough ugliness in the real world. While I try to shed light on topics people tend to shy away from, or think that could never happen to me, I like to toss in some lighter moments too. If you’re unfamiliar with my books, they tend to include anything from human trafficking, to sexual assault victims, to mental illness, and so much more. You may also notice that the bulk of my multicultural/interracial stories have biracial, Hispanic, and Asian characters. Are you curious about some of the characters mentioned, like Jordan? You can find her story in the Devil’s Boneyard MC series (Havoc). Specter mentioned his sister. You’ll find out more about the two of them in Charming, also in the Devil’s Boneyard series.
I hope you’re enjoying this series!
Thanks so much for your support…
Until next time…
