GLEN D. HARDIN

Glen D. Hardin was Elvis’s piano player when I was playing behind the singing group The Voice, who was opening up for Elvis on tour. I sat behind him as he accompanied Elvis during my first year with the tour. I replaced Glen D. in the TCB Band when he left to go on a world tour with Emmylou Harris.

In 1977, I once again replaced Glen D. when he left Emmylou to tour with John Denver. We played a lot alike, and I would say that, in a way, he was a mentor to me, just by coincidence.

Thank you, Glen D. Hardin.

“Oh Rock, I have felt the sting of thy terrible swift sword upon my fevered brow, and I care not, for when the great conductor comes to count those who reneged, He writes not what it payed but how you played the gig.”

LIVING IN GLEN’S SHADOW REALLY SHINED A LIGHT ON ME.
