The Nashville music industry is a tight little bubble that few outside of the business have access to. As I was trying to expand my circle of friends, I encountered the president of the Bank of America Nashville, John Stein, and a journalist for the Nashville Banner newspaper, Beth Stein. I quickly realized we had similar interests. I learned about Wall Street and they learned about Music Row.
Our paths first crossed nearly thirty years ago when Tony and I were both part of the class of Leadership Nashville, an organization that brings together people from a variety of local interests to learn more about the city and each other. From that, a profound friendship developed that certainly raised the Steins’ cool factor exponentially. We have remained close friends all these years, which is a testament to the kind of genuine guy he is.”
