I got to know Trisha Yearwood’s voice as she sang on about fifty song demos that publishers would pitch me to cut on artists I was producing. I attended a showcase for Trisha at the Douglas Corner Cafe, a Nashville club used by many to showcase acts they hope to get signed by a label. Trisha blew me away with her presence and that awesome voice. One of the songs she performed that night was “She’s in Love with the Boy,” which would later become her first number one single on country radio. She would follow that with many, many more smash hits including “How Do I Live,” which we recorded for the movie Con Air and which won her a Grammy.
She’s married to one of country music’s greatest icons, Garth Brooks, and still tours with him today, playing to sellout crowds in arenas and stadiums. Trisha is one of the greatest vocalists I have ever worked with.
“When Tony signed me, there were other record labels in the room that night. And he was just like, ‘I think what I heard is great and you should go make a record.’”

HOW COULD I LIVE WITHOUT HER? TRISHA IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SOUL.
