Lionel Richie and I met briefly around 2009. In 2012, he asked me to produce an album with him that would include duets with various country artists performing some of his biggest hits from the ’70s. That album would be called Tuskegee.
Lionel and I immediately developed a strong connection, and recording with him became a fun and successful experience. The album sold 3 million copies worldwide, became the biggest album he had released in years, and the second biggest selling album of 2012. Working with Lionel on that project has been a highlight in my career and one of the best albums I have ever been a part of as a producer.

RECREATING WORLD RENOWED HITS WAS HARD, BUT IT ENDED UP BEING ONE OF MY BIGGEST ACCOMPLISMENTS AND ONE OF THE BEST RECORDS I’VE EVER WORKED ON.
