Overview of the NCLEX-PN^® Exam

The NCLEX-PN^® exam is, among other things, an endurance test, like a marathon. If you don’t prepare properly, or approach it with confidence and rigor, you’ll quickly lose your composure. Here is a sample, test-like question:

1. A client had a permanent pacemaker implanted one year ago. The client returns to the outpatient clinic for suspected pacemaker battery failure. It is most important for the LPN/LVN to assess which of the following?
   1. Abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.
   2. Wheezing on exertion, cyanosis, and orthopnea.
