“Get your backpacks loaded for a trip to Flipper Island. Remember your swimsuits and flip-flops. Don’t forget your sunscreen,” says Counselor Soni.
“Our bus flies fast,” says Counselor Fred. “Hop on and enjoy the flight.”
“Welcome to Flipper Island, friends,” says Flossie. She puts a flower lei on each person. “First lunch, then free time,” she says.
“Look at our lunch,” says Willa. “I see burgers, French fries, and fresh fruit. Yum!”
“Free time!” shouts Bret. “Let’s play capture the flag.”
“Yes!” everyone yells.
“This place is called Flipper Island because of the friendly dolphins,” says Andee.
“Let’s swim with the dolphins,” says Grace.
“Last one in the water is a freckled frog,” yells Sid.
“Maybe a dolphin will splash me with his flippers,” says Cole.
“They can really splash with their flippers!” yells Andee.
“I see lots of flamingos flying around us,” says Grace.
Flossie says, “The flamingos live on Flapper Island. Sometimes they fly to Flipper Island to join the fun.”
“Flossie has one more surprise for you. It’s frozen fruit slushies for everyone,” says Counselor Fred.
The children call, “Thanks for everything, Flossie. We had fun!”
