Thank you for visiting Blythe Cove Manor. The Storytellers Unlimited (Lorraine Bartlett, Shirley Hailstock, and Kelly McClymer) want to tell you at little about how Blythe Cove Manor came to be.
At a meeting, we decided we wanted to do a collection of original stories set in one location. After some discussion, we chose a B&B. But where to place that B&B?
Discussion ensued and we discovered we all had a secret wish to win the 2015 HGTV Dream Home in Martha’s Vineyard. And what better place for summer magic than the Vineyard. Voila, we had our location.
We used the 2015 HGTV Dream Home to help us “build” Blythe Cove Manor, we populated it with Blythe, the venerable innkeeper, and Martha, her faithful cat. We gave Blythe a fabulous Aga stove on which to make her scones, muffins and breakfast omelettes.
Best of all, we gave Blythe Cove Manor a little touch of magic. You’ll find that magic in the objects that Blythe and her family have used to furnish the B&B through the centuries. An old picture, a ship in a bottle. You never know what will turn out to be magic at Blythe Cove Manor.
And then we each went off to write our stories set in our shared world.
