Harper stood in front of the full-length mirror in her dressing room, adjusting the neckline of her dress as she prepared for her first major speaking event since everything had happened. It was a celebration of body positivity and self-love—two things Harper had fought for her entire career. And now, after the darkest chapter of her life, she was ready to step back into the spotlight.
A soft knock on the door made her turn, and she smiled as Damien entered the room, looking as handsome as ever in his suit. He crossed the room to stand beside her, his eyes filled with pride as he looked her over.
“You look amazing,” he said, his voice low and warm.
Harper blushed, a soft laugh escaping her lips. “Thank you.”
“You ready?” Damien asked, his hand resting gently on her back.
Harper looked at herself in the mirror one last time, taking a deep breath. She was ready. She had faced her demons, survived the storm, and come out stronger on the other side. And now, with Damien by her side, she was ready to take on the world again.
“Yeah,” Harper said, turning to face him with a smile. “I’m ready.”
