About the Authors

Barry R. Komisaruk, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Psychology, Rutgers University, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Radiology, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Supported by federal, state, and foundation grant funding, he has published more than 145 research papers and three books.

Beverly Whipple, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, is a certified sexuality educator, sexuality counselor, and sexuality researcher, and Professor Emerita at Rutgers University. She has published more than 160 research papers and coauthored six books, one of which, The G Spot, has been translated into nineteen languages and was an international bestseller. For its fiftieth anniversary, The New Scientist named her one of the fifty most influential scientists in the world.

Sara Nasserzadeh, Ph.D., MSC, Mphil, DIP PST, is a couples counselor, licensed psychosexual therapist, and sexuality researcher. She is a member of the standardization committee of the World Association for Sexual Health, and she lectures widely. Her call-in radio program, Whispers, won the BBC World Service Award for the Innovation of the Year 2007.

Carlos Beyer-Flores, Ph.D., is head of the Laboratorio CIRA-Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala and a professor of CINVESTAV, Mexico. He has published more than two hundred research papers and was awarded the coveted National Prize in Natural Science of the Mexican government.
