As a child, Tommy Hawes used to take his toys apart to see what was inside. He would spend hours trying to figure out how a particular toy worked. This led to Hawes studying industrial design. Later he spent five years traveling around the world and working for studios in different countries. Hawes strives to exceed consumer expectations with his designs, making everyday activities interesting.
