Born in Uruguay in 1974, Gabriel Nigro travelled in Argentina and Brazil and ended up settling in Denmark. This long journey and mixture of cultures formed his vision of the art of design. “Imagination is stronger than knowledge,” he says, and he plans his designs well before putting them into practice. He was nominated for the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, People’s Design Award in 2007.
Inspired by children’s paper airplanes, the Concorde is an original lamp design. In the same way that real aircraft circle the globe, this lamp’s aircraft revolve around the bulb.
