In an era when the mechanisms that move objects are hidden, DvanDirk has launched a series of products where double function and transparency are essential to their identity. The studio works to ensure that the end user understands how the object that he or she is interacting with works and how to make the most of it. Its creations are made with durable materials to be more ecologically sound.
The SeesawSEAT is a small bench that becomes a seesaw or swing for children. The piece is sturdy and is transformed by sliding the surface inward or outward and securing the structure with three long nails.
The MOEP symbolizes the bond between parents and children: the design connects an adult chair with a baby’s cradle. The parts are joined like a puzzle, and when the cradle is no longer needed, it can become a shelf for children’s books. Both pieces can rock.
