Born to a Colombian father and a Hungarian mother, Alberto Vasquez is inspired by two completely different cultures: European and South American. He is fascinated by nature, and his way of understanding design is influenced by the Amazonian Indians’ way of thinking. Vasquez graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, in Budapest, in 2010. He is interested in ecological, cultural, and social problems, and he has received several awards for his Flow Lamp.
The Flow is a lamp that functions on the same principle as a vertical wind turbine. Its spiral design receives wind from all directions. The Flow is made of bamboo and is easy to produce.
When these removable pot and pan handles are grasped, two magnets come into contact with the metal container and remain attached until the grip on the handles is released.
