It’s been said that illustrators make great designers because they treat type as an image; with type and image rendered by the same hand, the packaging takes on a unique sense of cohesion and completeness. Here’s packaging that’s got character and whimsy, and, in some cases, a nostalgic flavor. Perhaps some of the magic is due to the almost anthropomorphic liveliness of the line work. Art and letterform mingle and dance, at times blurring into one.
