For the second time in as many days, I found myself sitting outside a building completely clueless as to what I should do. The guards that had evicted me were simple clones too and had paid no heed to what I did, so long as I stayed outside the control room. But what should I do? A large battle was about to begin, and I knew I couldn't get involved in that. I had lost my weapon during the last conflict anyway, so I would be useless! Was that all there was to this place then? Was it simply an endless cycle of clones heedlessly throwing their lives away for the sport of their makers? Is so, what value did I have? I doubted that I could ever leave this server and travel anywhere else in the Roblox universe, so what value did my life have?
It was at this moment that I remembered the electrical station. Perhaps there was something that I could do after all! I wasn't certain what I would find there, but perhaps there was a clue on how to make a permanent change to how this server operated!
I hurried down the hill and back towards the place in the trees where Robben had helped me escape the battle. I wasn't certain that this tunnel was the same one as the one I had seen on the console, but it was my best guess.
I reached the woods quickly, but by the time I had the sun was already well on its way into the morning sky. Gazing at the edges of the field I could see streams of clones pouring down from the slopes. I was shocked by the vast amounts I saw. This truly would be a battle of epic proportions! Already, shots were being fired, and not just from the Gunners faction. It sounded as though during the night other factions had armed their clones with guns too.
I quickly located the mouth of the tunnel and scrambled inside. The walls seemed even tighter now than I remembered! Still, I ignored the sense of claustrophobia and inched my way along. Overhead, I could hear what sounded almost like thunder! It was the sounds of stomping feet as the armies rushed towards one another. The tremors shook the earth and chunks of dirt began to fall down on me. I crawled along faster now, fearing that the tunnel would collapse under the weight of the bodies above!
The din of battle grew to a feverish pitch as the men fought directly over my head! The tunnel seemed to go on forever, and I began to fear that this had been a bad guess on my part. Perhaps this didn't lead to the electrical station, and I would soon be trapped in here!
My growing terror seemed about to get the best of me when my head smacked into a heavy metal object. In the darkness of the tunnel, I fumbled wildly and found what I was seeking: a door handle! I pushed the lever up and gave the door a might shove!
“OOF!”
I tumbled into a brightly lit room with a smooth tiled floor. Gazing up from the floor I saw television screens along each wall, and a group of computers clustered in the center of the room. My guess had been right. I had found the electrical station!
