Introduction To – The Bosnian War Yeti Stories

The next three chapters all take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a small Eastern European country – but not during peaceful times, far from it. All of them were shared by survivors of the Bosnian War – which took place from 1992 to 1995.

Many people don’t even consider it be a war – but a genocide disguised as one. And, if you gave the events a closer look yourself, that’s probably how you would feel as well. Awful scenes – of snipers gunning down civilians, villages getting burned to the ground, people getting slaughtered – there are so many events in that war that fit that description that it’s hard to imagine such cruelty can even be real.

Fittingly, there’s another thing that some people find hard to believe – the existence of Bigfoots. It turns out there are more than a few soldiers who not only believe in Bigfoots – but have also met them in person.

What makes these stories so unique is how the time period, and the brutality of the Bosnian War, overshadowed them by a land mile. Does it sound reasonable to ignore tales that sound crazy and fake in place of ones that talk of injustices that happened to innocence? Many would say yes – and this is completely fine.

But just because there are more important and bigger true stories than the ones about Bigfoots – doesn’t mean we should act like they never happened.
