Being a writer may be a solitary pursuit, but being an author requires a team. None of my books would exist without the steadfast support and encouragement of so many people. First, my husband, Paul. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader and my greatest champion. Your love, patience, and perpetual optimism keeps me going. I love you, Marine.

To my children, Emily and Brett, who, once again, found ways to keep themselves busy so I could write, revise, and edit. Brett, thank you for your hugs when you saw me staring at my computer. Emily, thank you for reminding me (every day) that I should be writing.
