Instructions
:
- Take a large bowl, place steak slices in it, add 1 teaspoon cornstarch, salt, and egg, stir until well mixed and then let the beef marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the sauce and for this, place all of its ingredients in a small bowl, and then whisk until combined.
- When the beef has marinated, take a separate large bowl, place 2 tablespoons of cornstarch in it, add marinated beef slices without the marinade and then toss until mixed.
- Place 2 tablespoons oil in a small saucepan, and then heat it until hot.
- Add remaining cornstarch into beef slices, toss until coated, add some of the beef slices into the saucepan and then cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown on both sides.
- Transfer fried beef to a plate and then repeat with the remaining beef slices.
- Add 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet pan and when hot, add bell pepper and onion pieces and then cook for 3 minutes until the edges of vegetables begin to caramelize.
- Then stir in garlic, cook for 30 seconds until fragrant and spoon vegetables to the plate containing beef slices.
- Return pan over high heat, add prepared sauce, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add vegetables and beef, toss until coated with the sauce, and cook for 2 minutes until hot.
- Serve straight away.
