The Band

1. The Wanted were formed in 2009
2. Auditions were held for the band by Jayne Collins, a casting agent who also formed successful girl-group The Saturdays.
3. It took a full nine months to choose the band as we know them today.
4. At the time of writing, the boys have released two studio albums and are currently working on a third.
5. Justin Bieber personally asked The Wanted to support him in his tour of South America - what a recommendation!
6. Nathan apparently suggested the name of the band, as he thought it would be funny to see the boys’ faces on ‘Wanted’ posters!
7. Their debut album was produced by Taio Cruz.
8. In 2010 The Wanted won an award for being the year’s hottest boys!
9. In February 2013 it was announced the lads would star in their own realty television series entitled The Wanted Life produced by Ryan Seacrest.
10. The first season proved to be a success in both the US and UK and although a couple of the boys were initially a little unsure about filming a second season it looks as if it’ll go ahead.
