The Aeronautics Division of the Museum maintains detailed curatorial files on each aircraft in the collection. These files cover the general history of the aircraft type and the specific history of the actual aircraft that is in the collection. Furthermore, the Office of the Registrar maintains the official records of all artifacts that are accepted into the Museum’s collection. Both sets of files were an invaluable source of information.
