Harmonia and Raelin left Ares’ compound to climb the hill leading to the Oracle. Harmonia was extremely excited to bring Raelin to meet Kinir.
Half way up the plateau, Kinir suddenly appeared before the two girls and bowed. “Greetings, Harmonia and Raelin; you are welcome in my domain.”
“Great Kinir, I have brought Raelin from Draosia here to meet you. She has agreed to help me fight this evil witch.”
Kinir could hardly suppress the excitement in her eyes. Finally, the plan was coming together. She could sense that Ares had already become smitten with Raelin; the longer Raelin had to stay here the more chance that she would reciprocate the feelings. “I have been expecting you Raelin. I knew that you of all people would be able to help Harmonia.”
Raelin looked at the beautiful Kinir with unease. She generally disliked anyone with the abilities to see visions of the future thanks to Eir; however, she did not want to offend Harmonia. “Yes, well, I am told I can help protect the future of our world. I was privy to a vision Harmonia had and if I can truly be of any help to stop what I saw from coming true I will lend my body.”
“Yes, Harmonia’s visions have been coming faster and faster these days. I believe that very soon we will see the witch that desires to destroy your worlds. While you are here Raelin, you must be ever vigilant. Harmonia has limited abilities as my prophetess, but she will need your help to guide her through them.”
“What good would I be to help her interpret visions?”
Kinir grabbed Raelin’s hand and held it tight. Raelin struggled to free her hand by pulling it from Kinir’s grasp, but it was much stronger than it should be. Kinir’s hand began to glow as she chanted a few words. “Raelin, you will help her because I have given you the ability to interpret the visions. Harmonia is not able to because she is not a full immortal born, but you are and thus can use the powers to help Harmonia. It will be much easier than having her come here every single time.” Kinir smiled a devilish smile with those last words.
