Most people (even non-crafters) will want to consider keeping the following basic items on hand, organized by purpose into stations.
1
Keep supplies in one place: scissors, double-sided tape, ribbons, and wrapping paper, plus bows, tags, and toppers.
2
Keep a self-cutting mat, transparent ruler and/or straightedge, and craft knife on your work surface for cutting templates and other needs.
3
When an email just won’t do: It’s easy to create your own stationery and thank-you cards from a cache of assorted papers (and blank envelopes), embossers, rubber stamps and ink pads, hole punches, bone folders, and colored pens and pencils.
4
Scrapbooking is just the start; “scrapboxing” (using shadow boxes) and collages are other ways to display treasured keepsakes. Besides background paper, you’ll need a hot-glue gun and a glue stick, plus markers and stamps.
