BOOKMARK PLACE CARDS

This pretty place card doubles as a take-home bookmark for the Haggadah. Watercolor paper has a nubby texture (or “tooth”) that is designed to be painted on; it is also durable and sturdy, both good qualities for a gift that’s meant to be used again and again.

Supplies

  1. 1. Start by painting a whole piece of watercolor paper with watered-down craft paint or watercolors in the desired color (test your paint on scrap paper until it is the right opacity). Let dry.
  2. 2. Cut paper into bookmarks. You should be able to get three per sheet by cutting crosswise, to match the one shown here.
  3. 3. Punch a hole near the top, in the center, and run a ribbon through it; tie ribbon.
  4. 4. Write each person’s name near the top, so it will show when tucked inside napkin.
