JEHU TAKES OVER ISRAEL

Elisha sent a prophet to Ramoth-gilead to anoint Jehu as Israel’s new king. Jehu immediately rode to Jezreel to find and kill King Joram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah. Jehu killed Joram; Ahaziah fled toward Beth-haggan, where he was wounded. He later died at Megiddo. Back in Jezreel, Jehu had Jezebel killed.
