Jesus Visits Mary and Martha

After teaching throughout Galilee, Jesus returned to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:2ff). He spoke in Jerusalem and then visited his friends Mary and Martha in Bethany, a tiny village on the eastern slope of the Mount of Olives.
