Words to Treasure
But those who are wise listen to advice.
Proverbs 12:15
Coop called Samuel over to the group. Airplanes buzzed over their heads. The skydivers stood beside their plane. Coop put his hand on Samuel’s shoulder. “These are my top two pieces of advice for you. Always check your rig before you go up, and always pray before every jump.” The group formed a circle and prayed.
Coop and Samuel were jumping in tandem, meaning they were jumping together with one parachute. Samuel felt the rush of air and the big space outside the plane as he jumped out the door. Samuel glanced up to see the plane flying away and looked down to see the world far below. He was flying! Okay, falling. With a sudden jerk, the parachute opened and he was drifting on the air far above a world of little farms, cars, and roads.
Before we do anything new, taking good advice from experienced people is important. They know important stuff that we need to know. Wise words can change your world and give you a better landing.
