Plan A

Words to Treasure

Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark with your whole family. I know that you are a godly man among the people of today.”

Genesis 7:1

The bear cub rolled on the ground at Henry’s feet. The other cub grabbed the giant-sized bottle and began to slurp milk formula all over everything. It wasn’t fair that they couldn’t keep these two cubs because there just wasn’t enough room at his aunt’s ranch for any more orphaned baby bears. They would need to make the bear enclosure bigger, and they didn’t have the money this year. Henry prayed for some way to help them. He watched them wrestle with his dog Dakota, thinking how cute they were, just like two little stuffed bears. Henry stopped — God had just given him a plan.

Henry’s booth was full of adorable, black teddy bears. He had made a sign telling everybody at the shopping mall about his aunt’s wildlife rehabilitation ranch. People just couldn’t get enough of the toys. A few days of this and they’d have enough money to enlarge the bear enclosure and maybe a bit more.

God can use you to be the start of something really big that will help others. Be prepared to hear from God and then go out and change the world.

It started when God told Noah to build an ark (a kind of boat) to save the world’s animals. Then Noah’s entire family also got into the eco-friendly plan. One person like Noah who listens to God can change the world. (See Genesis 6 – 9.)
