I Am Me

Words to Treasure

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD. Let us give a loud shout to the Rock who saves us.

Psalm 95:1

The field was full of dozens of gigantic hot-air balloons. Amy and her dad were entered in a balloon race, and they were busy getting their own balloon ready. Soon they’d be up in the air with all the other colorful balloons. It would be an amazing sight. Amy watched as their balloon filled with hot gases, and a beautiful Celtic cross unfolded for the world to see. She thought it was one of the most beautiful balloons in the whole field. Amy wasn’t embarrassed about having a cross on the balloon. Being a Christian was just part of who she was and not something she wanted to hide.

It’s okay to be a person of faith, and it’s okay to share your feelings about that. Don’t do it because you feel you have to, but because loving Jesus is a natural part of who you are, inside and out. Be proud of your relationship with God.

King David had God’s Holy Ark brought to Jerusalem. As they were carrying it into the city, David danced with everything he had. He didn’t care if he looked silly or wasn’t acting kingly. He just wanted to show God how much he loved him. David was proud of God and proud to love him with all his heart. David rocks! (See 2 Samuel 6:14 – 23.)
