Words to Treasure
Do to others as you want them to do to you.
Luke 6:31
The school bus jerked to a stop, and Brooke jumped out and headed for the tall grass. She had felt sick all day long and now, in front of the entire school bus, she was going to be sick. This was the most embarrassing moment of her life. Or was it?
At home, Brooke was resting in bed, feeling awful, when her brother passed her a piece of paper. It was a printed photograph of her throwing up. She looked at her brother, horrified. “Where did you get that?”
“The Internet. Gordon used his cell camera. Now that’s nasty.” Brooke wanted to hide under a rock forever. It just wasn’t fair!
Clearly the Bible doesn’t say anything about cellular phone cameras or other types of modern stuff. But it does have a whole lot to say about kindness and respect for others, which would fall under the heading, “Just Because You Can Doesn’t Mean You Should.” Be considerate of others and respect that there are some things and situations people do not want captured for the world to see. Think before you click or post.
Love It!
Stuff like cellular phones, digital cameras, little tiny video cameras, and other spy gear is amazing and so much fun to use. But never, ever use them to be disrespectful to other people. Use ’em for good, not for evil.
