Words to Treasure
You have done well, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things.
Matthew 25:23
Mr. Stroud admired the mural Mia had painted on one inside wall of the old hardware store. Mia had used an old, old photograph of the store to paint a picture of what the inside of the store looked like in 1885. Women in long dresses and men in top hats filled the painting. “Come with me.” Mr. Stroud took her outside the store and pointed to the massively big blank side of the building. “What do you think? The entire side of the building one big painting? Can you do it?”
Mia’s mouth hung open. “I don’t know. I think I can.”
When you are faithful or do a good job in small things, God will give you bigger things to accomplish. It means God and people trust you to do what you say you’ll do. So do a good job in little missions, and be ready for those big adventures.
People in Bible Times
Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery. Joe did an awesome job of serving his new master, but then Joe got framed and thrown in jail. You guessed it; he did an even more amazing job helping his guards. Then he got taken to the palace when Pharaoh needed a little help. Joe was amazing again and became Pharaoh’s right-hand man. Being faithful in little things works.
