Around the World in One Bite

Words to Treasure

They came from every nation, tribe and people.

Revelation 7:9

Cindy didn’t know what to eat first. Tacos over there, sushi right here, or bangers and mash (British for sausages and mashed potatoes) on the next table. Then there was the deep fried cheesecake. Cindy stopped to look around at all the people at the international food fare. They were as different from each other as the food was. One person had tight curly red hair, another person had dark brown skin, and the kid over there had freckles all over his face. How come God made so many different looking people?

Good question. God loves variety. Just look at the world around us. Nature shows such an assortment, from delicate butterflies to elephants the size of trucks. Wouldn’t the world be boring if there were only one type of food to eat? Or one type of animal? Or one type of person? The world is full of all kinds of people, and that makes it a beautiful place.

Live It!

Take a world tour right in your home. Have your parents help you find books or websites about different countries. Discover what they like to eat, how they dress or things they like to do. Sometimes great adventures start at home.
