Wasn’t All Me!

Words to Treasure

I haven’t kept to myself that what you did for me was right. I have spoken about how faithful you were when you saved me. I haven’t hidden your love and your faithfulness from the whole community.

Psalm 40:10

The reporter watched the bear cubs playing in their new enclosure. “They are so cute!” she said.

The television camera turned back to Henry, and he felt nervous. He gave the reporter a black teddy bear. “This is for you,” he said.

“Thank you!” She showed the toy to the camera. “Henry, did you think so many people would buy these stuffed toy bears to help the orphaned cubs you raise here on the range?”

“No way,” Henry smiled shyly. “People just keep buying them. We now take orders by Internet.”

“This whole thing was your idea. Right, Henry?” The reporter stood very close to him.

“Well, I think it was an answer from God. I prayed about how to help the bears, and that’s what came into my head.”

“Really?” The lady reporter sounded surprised. “That’s amazing!”

“Yeah,” shrugged Henry.

When God helps you, don’t be afraid to tell the world. Give God the thanks and credit he deserves.

Pharaoh had heard that Joseph could understand the meaning of dreams. But Joe set the record straight right away. Joe gave God all the credit and glory, and that was exactly the right thing to do. Check out Genesis 41.
