Words to Treasure

When Abigail woke up in the morning, she was amazed by her dream. She had dreamed about the old Victorian house. It was moving day, and a family in old-fashioned clothes pulled up in a big wagon with a beautiful team of horses. In her dream, the house was brand-new. Suddenly, Abigail knew what God was saying to her through this dream. “Thank you, God!”
Two months later, the gates of the old house were open, and the front yard had tables with white lace on them. Women in long dresses and men in funny suits served tea, sandwiches, and little desserts to tourists and townspeople. It was an old-fashioned garden party. Horses lined the streets ready to give rides around the block.
All the actors in town got together with the Historical Society put on this fundraising tea party. They had raised enough money in two weeks of tea parties to save the old house. It would become a museum, with tea parties in the front yard every day in the summer.
Because Abigail cared and prayed, God gave her a brilliant idea. He knew she was just the right person to save the day.

Daniel explained to King Nebuchadnezzar that God had revealed to him the mystery of the royal dream. The grateful royal dude gave Daniel gifts, made him the ruler over the great city of Babylon and put him in charge of the other wise men. And nobody got killed. Excellent!
