Prayer Warrior

Words to Treasure

Brothers and sisters, pray for us.

1 Thessalonians 5:25

Phil and Mark were heading out the door of the church. They saw Grace quietly sitting in the church garden by the fountain. Phil walked over. “Grace, are you coming? We need to sell 300 chocolate bars to pay for our youth trip.”

Grace smiled up at them. “Pastor Owen asked me to stay behind today and pray that everything goes well and we get the money we need for the mission trip. I’m a prayer warrior.”

Mark scratched his head. “A what warrior?”

Pastor Owen walked over. “Someone who commits to praying about certain events or situations.”

The boys looked at each other. Phil shrugged, “We need all the prayer we can get. We didn’t sell anything yesterday.”

Some people commit their lives to prayer and worship. They pray like they are preparing for battle. The world needs lots of prayer warriors.

Did You Know?

There was a prophet named Anna and she lived in the temple in Jerusalem. Actually she never left the temple, and she prayed and worshiped God day and night.
