Words to Treasure
He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.
Luke 17:16
The dogs were barking inside the kennels and cages. Sayen searched the building, but she didn’t see her dog Brazen. When the flood came, they hadn’t been allowed to take her dog on the rescue boat. But some nice people went out and collected all the left-behind pets. Sayen prayed with all her heart that her dog would be here.
She heard a familiar bark and turned. A man had Brazen on a leash. “Is this your dog, sweetie?” Brazen was pulling to get to her. The nice man let go, and Brazen charged across the floor.
“Brazen!” Sayen knelt down, filling her arms with wiggling happy dog.
Her family happily put Brazen in the back of their car. Sayen took out two big baskets and ran back to the shelter. One was full of pet treats, and the other was full of people treats. She gave them to the volunteers. “Thank you for finding my dog.” Sayen wiped a tear from her eye and ran back to the car.
Never forget to thank people who are kind to you. And don’t forget to thank God for the people who have been kind to you.
People in Bible Times
While Jesus was traveling to Jerusalem he came across ten men with a pretty disgusting skin disease. Jesus sent them to see the priests, but on the way they were healed. Only one man turned around, went back, and thanked Jesus. So which guy do you want to be? (See Luke 17:11 – 19.)
