Record Clean

Words to Treasure

Hands that work hard will rule.

Proverbs 12:24

Nick crossed off another day on the calendar. He looked around his spotlessly clean room. He was going for a record. Fifty days so far! His mom didn’t have to remind him to clean up his toys, make his bed, or feed his fish. He was the master of clean, the hero of organization, the duke of dusting. He turned around to head downstairs. There was his mom holding a plastic bag.

Nick peered at the fish. “No way! An x-ray fish!!” He could see the fish’s skeleton right through the skin.

His mom sat down on the tidy bed. “You’ve worked hard keeping your room clean, so here’s a new friend as a reward. What are you going to call him?”

Nick beamed. “Mr. Clean, of course.”

Can you beat Nick’s clean room record? If you already keep a spotless room, what can you work hard at? Try it. You may like it.

Did You Know?

Did you know ancient Egyptians kept pet fish? Well, they also ate some of their pet fish. Don’t try that at home.
