Words to Treasure
Think about what you see. Search through the market. See if you can find one honest person who tries to be truthful.
Jeremiah 5:1
The cave was beautiful, with thick pillars of stone hanging from the roof and strange formations dotting the floor. They had formed over hundreds of years. The school group stood in the cavern completely awed by the beauty. Jerry stared at the milky blue pond in the middle of the room.
“You!” The park ranger pointed at Jerry.
Jerry jumped about five feet in the air. “Me?” Every kid in his class stared at him.
“Do you remember what I said about touching the cave formations at the beginning of the tour? That just by touching them you can damage them?”
“Yes,” Jerry said. “I haven’t touched anything. I’ve been real careful.”
“I know that. You are the only person on this tour who hasn’t touched anything.” He smiled at Jerry. “What’s your name?”
“Jerry.”
“Jerry, I’m going to give you a cave T-shirt and free tickets to bring your family next time. Well done.” The rest of the kids were so bummed.
Are you doing the right thing even when everyone around you doesn’t seem to follow the rules? If you are, then you totally ROCK!
