There in front of them his appearance was changed. His clothes became so white they shone. They were whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
Mark 9:2-3
The smoke was thick and black, and it burned their lungs. Yukio, Johanna, and Kitt couldn’t find their way out of the old church building. They were crawling on the floor when suddenly out of the smoke came a big fireman. He wasn’t wearing a mask, but the smoke didn’t seem to bother him. “Grab my hand and hold onto each other. Don’t let go!” They held hands and followed the fireman through the smoky halls. He threw open an exit door, and the kids tumbled out. They turned around but he was gone.
Another fireman rushed over to help them. Yukio, Johanna, and Kitt sat down on the grass by the fire truck. Kitt coughed, “A fireman helped us out.”
“What?” The fireman gave them a puzzled look. “Son, we just got here. Nobody’s gone in there yet.” The kids looked at each other. Who helped them?
