Words to Treasure

I have lived the way the LORD wanted me to. I’m not guilty of turning away from my God. I keep all his laws in mind. I haven’t turned away from his commands.

2 Samuel 22:22-23

Justin pushed the buttons, making his bright yellow sports car accelerate across the bridge. His goal was to avoid an epic smashup. But then, with one slight turn of the wheel, his computer dream car was hurtling through the air and crashing upside down. It exploded with spectacular special effects. The race was over. He was destroyed. Sighing, Justin pushed a button to select a new type of dream car for the next race. Just then for some reason, he happened to glance over at his bedside table, where he saw his Bible, peeking out from under toys and other books. Clearly, his Bible was not as well-used as his computer.

God warned us not to make other things more important than him. It’s okay to enjoy your games, but make sure you leave plenty of time for God too. Hey, even try putting your computer to use for God; check out fun websites that help you learn about the Bible. Activities that help you understand God are a must do.

Are there some areas in your life that kind of take over spending time with your heavenly Father? Maybe you need to power down so you can power up in him.

Did You Know?

Did you know the most expensive Bible in the world is a copy of the Gutenberg Bible? It was printed in 1455 and today is worth well over 5 million dollars. No dust on that Bible.
