Why did people even get married? This was what he couldn’t figure out. Didn’t they read the statistics? Half of all marriages end in divorce. Divorce. Lawyers, arguments, allegations, accusations, pain, financial ruin. And, if there were children, bitter custody battles, anguish, and heartbreak. For the child, lifelong intimacy issues and irreparable psychological problems. Divorce. Half of all marriages. Why would anyone put themselves in a situation with such bad odds? Why had he?
