Gravity tries to pull me
straight down towards
the centre of the Earth,
but with the mountain
in the way I am dragged
down the slope instead.
Wide, long skis will help
to spread my weight and
stop me from sinking into
the snow as it compacts
beneath me.
The supersled’s fairing
will help me to glide
through the air more
easily but my helmet and
clothes will also create air
resistance. To minimise
this I will need to wear a
body-hugging suit, just
like a speed skier.
