LIDDED STORAGE CONTAINERS

When storing items in your bathroom or craft room, it is ideal to have the things you use every day easily accessible and out of drawers and cabinets. However, that can easily lead to clutter and mess. Fortunately, you can use small galvanized buckets to keep all kinds of things in their place, and, by adding a cover, you can keep things neat and organized.
MATERIALS

- Rubber gloves
- Stain cloth
- Wood stain
- 3 wood plaques or wood crafting circles sized to fit the opening of each of the buckets
- Ruler
- Drill
- 3 cabinet knobs (1 for each bucket) with screws for attaching
- 3 small galvanized buckets (I used ones with 31⁄2" and 5" openings)
- Put on your rubber gloves and use your stain cloth to stain one side of your wood plaques, being sure to apply the stain in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe off any excess stain and allow it to dry according to package instructions. Once the stain is dry, repeat on the other side of the plaques, until all are completely stained and dry, according to package instructions.

- Use your ruler to measure and find the center point of each plaque, then use your drill to create a hole at that center point in each plaque.

- Attach a knob to each plaque, place the plaques on top of your buckets, and begin organizing.

TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS
These canisters are perfect for storing cotton swabs, cotton balls, and dental floss in the bathroom. They work equally great in your craft room for buttons, thread, and scrapbooking materials.
