If it doesn’t exist between two slices of bread is it really a sandwich? That’s a question for another time, but in this instance, we say yes! Rollup, wrap, sandwich-on-the-go — whatever you call it, this handheld turkey and Swiss treat is easy to make and even easier to eat. Use whatever type of tortilla or wrap you’d like (plain, whole wheat, sundried tomato, spinach, etc.), add the fillings, and wrap it up!
IS A WRAP A SANDWICH?
According to the Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America, that’s a yes! The book states, “During the 1990s, wraps became a popular new form of sandwich in the United States.”

Another name for the holes in Swiss cheese is eyes. Swiss cheese without holes is “blind.”
