275. White separatists and white nationalists believe that Western nations should be white, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, as well as neo-confederates, neo-Nazis, and racist skinheads.
These groups oppose immigration of non-whites and believe the Civil Rights Act of 1964 amounts to “white genocide.”
They want to form a white nation, claiming this comes from a love of whiteness as opposed to a hatred of people of color.
The SPLC reports these groups have two strategies for bringing about their vision of a white nation: infiltrating existing political institutions (sometimes by disguising their politics), and fomenting a revolution through public demonstrations and anonymous online activism as a means of polarizing and collapsing America.
