an insane schedule

Remember how short my time is.

PSALM 89:47 (KJV)

I am seventeen years old. I have a full school schedule, I work forty or more hours a week, and I try to keep a normal, healthy social life. I definitely know what it means to be busy. Sleep is something that I barely do. Typically, I wake up around seven, get dressed, and rush to school by seven forty-five. I sometimes sleep through a lot of my classes, probably out of a mix of tiredness and boredom. School ends at two forty-five, and then I rush to get to Chick-fil-A so I can be ready to clock in at three-thirty. My shift lasts until ten thirty at night, and I get a thirty-minute break for dinner. After work, I get home as soon as possible so that I can start on my homework. The biggest challenge now is to stay awake while reading my physics or American government book. Finally, I will shower and go to sleep at about two or three in the morning. The next day, the process repeats. The only way I have found to survive this somewhat insane schedule is to be laid back and cheery in the midst of it. Life is short, and it is a waste to stress over the little stuff. When you start getting overwhelmed, relax and remember that Someone bigger and wiser than you is the one who is in control!

Life is just too much sometimes.
Thank goodness I have You, Lord, to carry
me through when I’m too tired to keep going.
