stuck in the middle

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.

MATTHEW 5:9

Have you ever been caught in the middle of friends or family members who are fighting? I have. So many times one friend will be mad at another and I will get caught in the middle, trying to make peace, trying to comfort, or even trying to separate. It is not easy being the one everyone goes to with their problems. I’ve finally learned that I don’t have to solve everyone’s problems. It is impossible, and I start feeling bad about myself because I am not perfect and I can’t solve everything. But no one is perfect, except God. And God is the only who can change hearts and situations. “Blessed are the peacemakers” doesn’t mean we have to make peace all the time. It means we need to not create chaos and strife. We need to give our problems to God for Him to solve, because He is greater than every problem we have. So, if you are caught between your friends, step back, give them to God, and be at peace.

God, thank You for the peace You can give me.
Help me to seek it for myself and share it with others.
