1 SAMUEL 16:7
Whenever I look at a fashion magazine, I start to notice my every flaw and wonder why I can’t be as perfect as the models are. I’m sure that some of you are as beautiful as those models in the magazines, but the truth is, if you aren’t beautiful on the inside, then the outside really doesn’t matter. God made us just the way that we are physically, and when He made us, he didn’t go, “Oops, my bad!” No, he said “There, that’s exactly what I want. Look how incredibly beautiful she is!” It may be hard to believe, but God is madly in love with you, and He thinks that you are amazingly beautiful. The hard part is forgetting the culture’s definition of beauty and getting it into your mind just how beautiful God thinks you are. As Christian girls, a lot of times we’re told (or feel like) enhancing our outer beauty is sinful or vain. It totally can be, but God does want us to take care of ourselves. He created beauty and our bodies and our smiles and our eyes, and he wants us to take care of and enjoy them. God doesn’t mind us using makeup or fixing our hair, but I think He wants us to care more about what we look like on the inside, rather than the outside. Our creator is the only one who can really judge a person’s beauty, not the world. He is the only One who sees deeply and truly.

I am so glad You judge me by a
different standard than people in this world.
Yes, I want people to think I’m beautifull,
but most of all, I want You to think I’m beautiful.
