SONG OF SONGS 8:4
Maybe it’s a silly question, but when you flirt with a guy, is he someone you would consider marrying? Are you flirting with him because he’s good-looking or because he’s a great person? Flirting can be so much fun and seems so harmless that it’s easy to get caught up in it. But stop and remember what it feels like to be on the receiving end of no-commitment flirting, or think about your friend who was convinced that some guy loved her, only to find out he was dating someone else. Guys get hurt in the same way when we lead them on. They feel deceived and angry, just like we do. So, let’s be careful and aware of what message our actions are communicating to the opposite sex. Please don’t think I’m saying to cut off all ties with guys, to never talk to guys, or to stop laughing at their jokes. I think we know the difference between being a friend and being a flirt. Let’s cherish our friendships with our guy friends, learn to guard their hearts (as well as our own) when we are hanging out, and love them like real friends do.

What I do affects other people and their feelings.
I don’t think about that a lot, Lord, but I should.
Help me to think of others and not just myself.
